A dining table is a dominant feature of any dining room, and we were asked to produce one for a customer who wanted a modern carbon table with baroque elements. As the table was bespoke and not for mass production, we wanted to produce the product as quickly and simply as possible. That’s why we divided the legs into 4 pieces and had them made in a 3D printer in our company, after gluing them together a mould was made, which we then laminated the product into. The view side of the table is made of 200g/m2 carbon canvas. It was then varnished with clear lacquer, which is also used on cars, so that it lasts as long as possible and prevents easy scratching.
